But, those illustrations are not of a Charger; there were never bumper guard cushions on the bumperettes.    :icon_smile_big:

Touche!!

Who cares really?...they are both bumper guards AND bumperettes. Choose the word you like most!!! There are loads of different words for the same items in the car world...gets even worse if the words cross the Atlantic...took me a while to understand some of the words you use for certain cars parts...rockers (sills) fenders (wings)etc etc.

Several guys over on Jeep Forum (I'm at nearly 6000 post there!!) get quite upset when I call an engine a motor....both are grammatically correct according to my dictionary so why anyone would be bothered I really don't know!!

Motors are run by electricity and engines run on combustible fuel.

You wouldn't call a wiper motor a wiper engine, would you?     ;)

Dino

That seems to be a US thing. Motor just means movement, just as motor nerves move your muscles. I haven't called an engine a motor in a long time either though.

Aha!  Motor nerves run on electrical impulses! (not combustible fuel)
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?
