Wondering if anyone is running a gear vendor and if you've had any issues with all that weight hanging so far off the trans mount?

I recently picked one up and looking at how far away the unit is from the mount kind of scares me. Looking for anyone that's had these units running for a while?

The housing is aluminum. The weight is not an issue. Personally, I was more concerned with the shorter driveshaft and steeper angle.
Dodge 4 wd trucks used a similar cantilevered design with IRON transfer cases for several years. I have a 75 44 4wd Power Wagon like this. Looking at it, I'm amazed that the immensely heavy iron transfer case is supported by a dowel and 7 3/8" bolts!

Thanks for the reply! I cant find anything online about weight being an issue. Guess they wouldn't be in business if it was! haha

I've got one and no issues here. Very smooth and trouble free this Summer. I've got somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000 + hp and I love the overdrive unit. I use it to downshift into the corners, so it got a ton of operation during my cruises this year.  :2thumbs:

P.S. Had plenty of full throttle acceleration as well
