The Welborn car was a Hemi 4spd, and if I remember, only had 6,000 or so miles on it......

Hmmmmm....I'm spying one of my jack hold down brackets and wingnut in this car, IIRC I also supplied a repro license plate bracket, modified Cluster jack and a few other items several years back

Very cool!  As I posted years ago this was sitting in Jim Radkes garage in Buena Park next to the superbird i bought from him.  He wanted 17k for it and i asked my dad to get me a loan an he said are you crazy!  I wonder how bad it got wrecked? it was all there but had replacement motor.

No sale at Worldwide Auctions, Scottsdale 2018.   Believe the "bid" was $470k.     Low estimate was 600k.

Unless it met reserve (it hasn't), it is hard to know whether any bid past or present is real.   

I hate to say it, but these cars are now soft if the expectation is to meet anything close to what the Spade car did.    That was a one off, with the right buyer for the right car on that day.   If you could get 700 for an automatic car in a common color today, you should take that all day long.

This car is identical in color and options to mine. My car is finishing up a 5000 hour 350k restoration at Roger Gibson's. I might list it for sale. If I do the price will be less than this car.

I got to see this car at worldwide auctioneers last week and it's really really nice. Of course hood and trunk were shut but still fit and finish was nice. Funny thing is that the pics have a Barrett-Jackson license plate on it but went to worldwide to get auctioned.
