Hello all thx again. But I dont know where to post this question, as it might offend some readers. I just found a Coronet, and my question is...
What has a higher value on same specs etc. Coronet or Charger? thx in advance.

TheGhost

The Charger will always be worth more than the Coronet, given that both cars have the same options, general condition, and are the same year (or a different year of the same generation).
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

unless it is one of the the allways elusive Hemi Coronet Convertable Four speeds...

So why is it that we might be offended? ???

Unfortunately (or fortunately if you haven't bought one yet :D ) the Coronet/SuperBee line is lagging behind the Chargers. I happen to like the Coronets and want one some day so hopefully the values stay down for a bit longer. My friend has a 68 Hemi Coronet and in the current market it's about half the value of a 68 Hemi Charger. As a matter of fact, Hemi Charger clones often sell for as much as real Hemi Coronets. Coronet 4-door cars aren't worth much at all (unless you have a Hemi). As a general rule, the prices seem to go like this:
1. E-body Cuda
2. E-body Challenger
3. 2nd Gen Charger
4. 68-70 B-body (2 door!)
5. 3rd Gen B-body
6. A-body
Obviously, highly optioned or rare cars (Hemi Darts, 6-pack or Hemi 71 B-bodies, T/A or AAR) might break out of that order but compared to the exact same specs the prices will be in about that order. In general, the pricing on options follows the engines - Hemi, 6-pack, 440, other big blocks in order of performance, then small block. Cars with 4-speeds usually are higher priced than the same model with an auto.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Just to insure nobody's offended, let's see some pics of this Coronet! ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

i'm offended that there's no pics,
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Coronets are great looking cars! I also love the fact each of the 3 years of the 2nd generation have their own flavor. Not saying Chargers are bland, but the difference are greater between the Coronets (taillights, grilles, etc).

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
