I saw him with Edgar Winter in the early 80's. I was really there to see Edgar, but it was a great show all around. I can't believe he was only 74  .....he was flat out gray-haired 35 years ago - I thought he was 60 then!

Leon was one of a kind, great as a song writer and musician.  What a career: besides all the stuff the news will say about his work and partnerships with Dylan, Sinatra, Cocker and John, he was a founding member of the Wrecking Crew, and his alter ego was Hank Wilson.   Look up Hank Wilson and his influence.

As Leon he's in the Rock Hall of Fame.  He played with everybody and made them all better.

I'll miss Leon.

Yeah, we lost a lot of great people this year.
If any of you have NOT seen the movie about the Wrecking Crew ... I urge you to find it on one of the pay channels.  (It was on Starz or Epix over the summer).
Just an AMAZING bunch of people of which Leon was a part of. Those days will never be duplicated.

Not a musician but a funny, funny man who I had the pleasure to see many times, Kevin Meaney passed just a few weeks ago.
In addition, just a really nice guy.
