Has anyone any experience with Comp Cams Ultra Magnum roller rockers? Looking at a set for my ported stealth heads. Being in NZ, they are in stock locally, unlike other big brands like Harland Sharp etc. Cam is HDP271 Crower.

I'm running them on my stealths on my 440. So far they're great. A search of this site and some of the others should return nothing but good info on them, which is what lead me to purchase them. I did have to return one of the 16 in the set after noticing it wasn't oiling the roller while I was priming the engine. It was missing the oiling hole. Running a comp 282S cam.
WANTED: NOS or excellent condition 72-74 4 speed shifter boot for bench or centre armrest car, part number 3467755. It's a rubber boot that looks like it's sewn up leather.

WANTED: My original 440 blocks. Serial # 2A188182 and 3A100002

I didn't pipe in because I expected someone else who was more knowledgeable and would be able to speak directly to their plusses and minuses would add something.

I installed a set after research that led me to believe they might be heavy, but were well designed, used bushings instead of needle bearings, were strong, and could last. I have been happy with them, but I am a novice in this area.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Have them on the 426 superstocker. No issues. Runs 10s and sees street miles.

Thanks for the replies, will get them next week. Searching reviews on the net, they are much improved rockers than they were a handful of years ago.

I'm running a roller cam with mostly comp stuff... Comp Pushrods, Comp Springs, Comp valvelocks, comp roller rockers.... lifters are the only thing non-comp and they are Scorpion lifters. Everything looks great and I've not had any issues with the valvetrain. Mechanic I took it to recently said that it pulled better than any stock 440 he's ever been in, but I kinda feel like he was just buttering me up before slapping me with the bill.

I went with Scorpion due to a previous post on here about a guy having issues with the comp lifters. My 440 isn't stroked or such and runs a 750 DP Holley.
