If you know the length and travel then you can just find one of their shocks with the right specs. That's likely what FF did. I don't think Bilstein makes a comprehensive list of every possible car their stuff could fit. I had the same issue with my truck. Everyone seemed to be running Bilsteins but there wasn't a cross reference that had my truck listed. And then, if you lift a truck you need different shocks any way so the solution is to dig through the catalog looking for your new specs.

These links from Summit give you the dimensions for the Gabriel stock replacement shocks:

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I ordered a set of fronts for my 70 Charger last year. The part # is RCD Bilstein 55-R082 front shocks.

Rears are: 55-R093. I'm not sure why the part numbers seem to be kept top secret.

Reading here and there these "Bilstein" Shocks are really branden RCD ( Race Car Dinamics ) using Bilstein 5100 piston setup.

This is the key here. These are not off the shelf, bolt in Bilsteins but are Bilstein components run through RCD for assembly and valving. Similar to the XV Level 1 shock which is actually an Afco unit that XV revalves and pressurizes specific to their application.

If you have extended length, compressed length, upper and lower mounting styles, spring rates, and car weights, you can spec out any shock you want with any manufacturer around the world.

Nacho and others,

I have read and reread this thread and do not completely understand the nuances of the discussion.

I see Firmfeel sells the RCD shocks and understand these are RCD shocks with Bilstein components.

I also see the RO82 etc shocks at places like:
http://p-s-t.com/i-23158257-front-bilstein-high-performance-shocks.html
http://p-s-t.com/i-23160582-rear-bilstein-high-performance-shocks.html

Are the Bilstein shocks from PST the same or different from those of firmfeel?

IF different, which ones are the ones to use?  And why.

Follow up:  I think I just answered my question with another search that was pst on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bilstein-Rear-Shocks-1965-79-Mopar-B-65-73-C-70-74-E-62-69-D-Body-/131131497664?hash=item1e880bdcc0:g:HxgAAMXQlgtSzHGb&vxp=mtr
and there they also say RCD.  So I am guessing both are the same.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

They are the same. They can even make you a shortened version if your car is lowered.

I was just wondering about why the PNs are not published like you can find any stock or performance replacement anywhere. Just that.

They were not easy to find anyway, not by me at least

Then discussion came out to be open to any opinion or experience about
