Thank you!

It seems that any time you are working on your back the safety glasses are a must.  I almost needed goggles driving the car around with more than a decades worth of shit blowing around and out of the vents.

I think the car was on Craigslist for almost 12 hours...  My brother in law had been telling me about it for weeks before the owner decided to sell.

Legendry's price of $1,000-$1,300.00 for original gator top with the brown dye vs SMS at $500 without brown dye was a consideration,  especially since I like the black gator that the originals ended up turning into once the dye wore off better, on a black car.

You have done a great job on the Charger and having the family involved is a wonderful thing.  :2thumbs:  Only problem I can think of is both kids will want the Charger and you will have to decide who gets it !!  :icon_smile_big:

sean257

Thank you.

My daughter actually wants our old suburban, so that will make it easier. lol  It has an 8.1L/4L80, 14 bolt w/air locker, and Dana 60 front.

I am having trouble finding a couple of the interior trim pieces that I think belong in the car.  Does anyone know where I can find the pieces that go along the top of the windshield between the a pillar trim, and above the door and quarter windows?

70-500-SE-EXPORT

Awesome project! Thanks for sharing the pictures. You will have to look on ebay for the headliner trim. Tonys parts also has to have a set. http://www.tonysparts.com/

I have the three garnish trim pieces you are missing. I have the correct screws for the windshield piece and I have the correct clips to hold on the side pieces.  I am in Ct. where are you located? Wingnut

Fresh out of the oven with black.  Wet sanding Wednesday

Hood, doors, trunk lid, etc. getting ready to be shot.

sean257

The painters decided to let it cure for 2-3 weeks before wet sanding and buffing, so now it is back in my garage so I can start the interior.

Putting in Second Skin sound deadening. I went back and forth over weather or not to even do sound deadening, and am still not sure why I decided to do it.  Anyway, I hope it is worth it.

I agree with you, the black gator WILL look better on a black car, awesome color combo for an awesome car, very nice!

Thanks for the comments

That is pretty cool that you almost bought it Charger-Bodie, are you in the STL area?  If you had bought it, I could have done the smart thing and found one that was already complete and ready to drive LOL.

One of my helpers broke his arm last week, but he still does what he can.  His cast is fine for holding insulation in place

I got the firewall insulated and had insulation left over so I did the trans tunnel also.  Got the Classic air unit in too.

I was able to find an upholstery shop to come and put in the headliner and top on in my garage!
