Mopar Overflow Bottle

I am hoping that someone may be able to identify this overflow bottle that I have pictured.  This is just another of the mysteries we have discovered on the pursuit of reproducing these bottles.  We have found five different bottles and this will be number six.  The others have been identified, and this one had been transplanted into a 69 Dart and we know that it is not original to those cars.  The cap is identical to the others that we have and the hoses are of the same ribbing, so we are pretty sure that it is a Mopar piece. If anyone should need more detailed dimensions, they can be provided.
As to the status of the of the other overflow bottles that we discussed last month, we have the digitized images done for three of the bottles and they are at the mold maker for his work, so progress is being made.  If we could only find some logic to all of these different styles and applications, it wold be a lots less frustrating.

It may be a 71, but we have a NOS 72 bottle and the bottom of the bottle is different than the one pictured.  As we have discussed earlier, there is one part number for the 71 overflow bottle and a different number for the 72 bottle.   Chrysler was very good at putting part numbers onto parts, so I really wished that they had did the same for the overflow bottles.  If you look at a washer bottle, they all have a part number and logo markings.  But the overflow bottles will only be marked 1 Qt. and 2 Qt.  We have found that the latter cars did have a different cap in approximately 1977.

never seen that one. so my money is on its truck or van piece

Bill,
We  have the truck variety, but did not even think about the van situation, good ideal.  The top mount is very close to the 72 style B-Body.  Some of the Imperials used there own style of bottle, so we are looking into getting documentation on those bottles.  There is not the demand to do the Imperial only bottles, so we do not want to spend the development dollars on a one year only application, so we are trying to be thorough on the investigation prior to dumping dollars into the project.
Thanks,
Richard

Is there any embossed # on it ... I may be able to cross it?

No numbers other than the 1 and 2 Quart identifier along side of the tank.  I have no ideal on why Chrysler did not emboss these with a logo or part number like they did the washer bottles.

Might be an aftermarket replacement. The cap is definitely Mopar style.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Because it is probably not a Mopar part.

Back from the SEMA show, so back to work on this project, in looking at the overflow bottles, there are seven different styles and none of them carry a part number or Chyrsler logo.  The one thing that is consistent is the lid style and the ribbed hoses.  The parts manuals do list different part numbers for the different year models and body styles, but that is about it.  One thing that we have noticed is that the attaching brackets among two different bottles was the same for a different car line, so that helps in the production cost.
