So new to this site just joined yesterday Bought my 69 charger when I was 18 (5 years ago) sold it to my brother it sat at his house then I bought it back finally digging into it and I have to replace it's quarters trunk pan taillight panel and valence (heavy rust) floors and rest of the car are pretty much solid so just wondering who has the better replacement panels I'd rather pay more for quality if I have to
keep on keepin on

Hello and welcome.

AMD seems to be the "go to place" for replacement panels. They make full quarters and one piece trunk pans. However, don't assume you can just weld everything on out of the box and have it fit perfect, there will need to be adjustments made in some places to get things to fit.

Yeah, AMD.  BUT, buy thru a reseller not directly from the AMD website.  Resellers can give you  a discount, AMD charges full retail.  Also try to get all you parts in one shipment (maybe two.)  The shipping charges are substantial.  Most resellers just drop ship from AMD anyway, few keep any inventory.

I know I could go to their site and ask but do they ship to the UK? May sound like a silly question but you would not believe how many US car part companies won't export to Europe.....it's as if they think we are a third world state and won't get involved. And then if they decide they will they ruin it by quoting shipped charges so ridiculous it would be cheaper to charter a private G6 and come and collect them myself! Lol. These were mainly parts for my Jeep but you get the idea. I bet you guys could call virtually any UK car parts company and they would export to the US (with sensible shipping costs) with no problem at all.....just struggle to understand why it's so much hassle the other way! .....and then there's the 20% import tax on new parts coming into the UK from outside Europe....but that's a different story.

They are not quoting ridiculous rates... it is what it is and what it costs to cross the Atlantic. For me to ship a 3' x 2' x 10" thick box weighing less than 20 lbs, via air freight, costs $700 to Holland!!

You can always call or email http://six-packspeedshop.nl and ask for a quote to import it for you.

Well bearing in mind most things are cheaper in the US than U.K. You must have about the world's most extensive postal service. Would cost well under half that to send it the other way!

Ill agree with what BLK 68 R/T said also.   If you can keep original metal and just patch it, it may be less time that test fitting and temp installing/removing a replacement panel 86 times.   :Twocents:
Mopar forever!

I'm trying really hard to find a project 69 with rust that's repairable rather than bad enough to need replacement panels.....not just for the above reasons. I'm a passable mechanic so I would rather buy a good shell with a duff motor and/or tranny than one with tons of rust.....my body work skills are average at best but I'm handy enough with a welder to patch and grind holes to to a good enough standard.
