Like Tan top said: For me a car like that is cool but not much fun to own because of the whole "don't change a thing" thing....and it's gold.    :Twocents:

I think it would be a great car to own.   You'd likely have the only one like it.    It's low miles, but definitely not new in the wrapper either.    You might not want to drive it cross country, but you could put a thousand miles a year on it without regret and still maintain the cosmetics.   Put some mags or some day two equipment easily reversible on it and have fun.
Exactly!  I do not understand why people think these cars  cannot be enjoyed as a cruiser...the car will always have low miles in and is probably very reliable....It is also beneficial to maintaining a car like this by taking it out for weekend enjoyments....

Well I will back-pedal here and agree- yes a cool car to own and cruise around a bit in...but maybe not at the tune of $65K.
To me that's a lot of cake and there are A LOT of cars to look at at that price.

There was that survivor lime green satellite that was I think $25K.   :scratchchin:  It didn't have the big motor etc but was just as interesting to me (as a survivor)and would have saved me $40K.

I don't know...ramble ...ramble...ramble.

I think he is trying to use a popular 1991 insult from the "Jerky Boys",  you should respond back with "hey rubberneck, I don't need to talk to you"

YES ! That is it!
Some people have a hard time understanding my sense of humor.

VERY smart.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

6bblgt

so ..... since November 2015 to MECUM Kissimmee January 2017 did this car find an owner in between?  same pics, can I "ASSUME" no?

$40K sale minus fees/transport - Sunday auction late in the day near the end  :scratchchin: wonder if that was good or bad for the seller?

Though it has received a bad rep, the term "flipper"sure applies here.
So often, these "flippers" are like racists or people with bad breath. They are not aware or ready to admit that this is what they are. :slap:

Marketing/selling collector cars and projects is not fun or easy.  It's a part of the hobby that -IMO- is the least favorite thing to do for the avg. individual that just likes the cars and want to play.

I am recalling my history with mopar cars that goes to when I was 14. ( the sixties)  In all of those years--the most fun I had was finding and buying (or trying to) something that I liked.
The worse and most troublsome times were when I was moved to sell something. :eek2:  (I am not a salesman and actually dislike them as a group).

I do see the/a derogatory meaning to the word "flipper" because of all the negative comments that follow that word.

Maybe if we looked at the "flipper" as a --consignment seller- we all may be better served.   They serve an obvious need that many sellers show as a need -all the time- with the ads that we all laugh about.  Being concerned about getting the last scrap of top dollar should be left to the professionals.  They are the ones that have the patience to scrape the last bit of meat and use the bones to make soup.

Do we use the term "flipper" when referring to an auto wrecking yard? :scratchchin:

Bruce you are just a flipper.
You just had your Charger 500 36 years before you sold it to me

Thank you Carsten  for making my 36 years of being a "flipper" a good ride.
May your--flip-- ;) be an easy one when the time comes to move on for you :icon_smile_wink:

Edit--addition.   Carsten is correct about me being a "flipper".  I spotted the C500 in a gas station in the early eighties.(lost track of the year).  I knew at the time exactly what it was and the seller -at the time- was the classic seller that we all see today and make fun of.  He was in his teens and hot to sell something special.

I (at the time) was not looking for a car but could not look away from this one.  I did not have the money for it and it would have to sit outside for a few years. :eek2:

So I became a "flipper".  Many hundreds of hours of attention and 36 years later I finish the flip.
