71 charger se 383 ac hideaway grill ,flat hood, automatic on the column ,original gold paint ,black interior with buckets, crack in dash. 99% rust free complete car. needs : paint to look nice{you can drive it the way it is right now} , fuel lines , brake lines, exhaust. motor is complete minus carb. i dont know if it runs. owner says it does,
.
how much is a car like that goes for? i was not looking for a car but it might be a good deal? hes asking $$ 7500.  opinions?????  Thanks

It really depends on the condition of the car.  My impression is that it could be worth that, but I would want to know what the state of body (frame rails, floor pans, and panels were like).  I would also expect that it will cost a lot to fix it up.

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

I don't know how it would run with out a carb. Seller should put a carb on it before trying to sell & make it driveable :scratchchin: :shruggy: :Twocents: :slap: LEON

the body is very very solid all around. lets say the motor does not run, is it worth the money as a solid car?

Needs paint and a general resto? Non running? $4500 max. Id feel better at $3500. Pictures may increase my value.

per what you said I'm agreed on the seller price or maybe a bit lower, close to $6500... otherwise will require pics to be honest.

Sounds steep to me. Sounds nice if it's as solid as you say, 99% rust free. Lets see some pictures? LEON.

Pretty hard to say without pics or more info, but I will add that it is well worth paying a bit of a premium for a rust free car. You'll be glad you did.

After finding  2  cars with floor pans  needing to be replaced, I would just make sure that it is is rust free as you think. In both cases for me, restaurant with a screwdriver, and at least one person had thought it was not an issue

Sounds similar to mine other than mine is floor shifter with console. No holes in outer body, floor or trunk. Not original paint and in poor shape with the vinyl top in terrible shape. Interior nice original condition. 71k mi and it ran and moved under it's own power before I bought it for $3250 in 2011. Since it had been sitting for 15-20 yrs and the owner wasn't a "car person" (friends mother) I believe I got a heck of a deal. Have put over $6k into it since bringing the drive line up to snuff.

I'd see if it can be running before purchase whether owner does it or you scrounge up a carb or if not then an offer of $4500-5000 might be in order.
