Who do you guys use???

Hagerty and "American Collectors" both told me that driving a classic car 2-3 times a week is excessive and my insurance company (USAA) told me that they'll insure the car for it's original purchase price depreciated through the last 40-something years.

Who do you "regular driver" guys use for insurance?

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I've used Hagerty and American Collectors...right now I am with the latter as they were much cheaper this time around.

American Collectors told me weekend cruising etc was fine...didnt have to be for a car show or parade, etc...

That all said, I have never made a claim with either company so you know, that's where the rubber meets the road.

We insure our collector cars through our regular insurance company...State Farm.    They are all insured with "agreed upon value" based upon the Bill of Sale or an appraisal by a restoration shop.  We have them insured for 50% show/cruise-ins and 50% pleasure driving.  None of our cars exceed 5,000 miles a year.

I switched the Charger from USAA to Grundy this summer. Premium was almost the same but I got liability, comprehensive, collision, and $30k agreed value. With USAA, all I had was liability.
