2 Kitty Kats that spun worse than me.
Traction was not there for ANYONE.

I made many mistakes MY DRUM brakes will NOT hold the car for a burn out, I need a shift light, the car will run better with some tuning, almost 116 mph & Am sure there is more in it, it got pretty hot for me & the MS monster only
let me make two runs, but I had a BLAST.

Good show Charlie, I bet the Adrenalin was raging!

That Engine is really making good steam Charlie ! :2thumbs:

Remember, 60 ft time is critical to E.T., in that anything gained or lost in the first 60 ft can pretty much be doubled off Final E.T. !
meaning....
your basically 2.2 second E.T., if dropped to say 1.7 seconds(easy for a leaf spring B-Body W/Convertor and gearing), or .5 seconds quicker X 2 = close to a full second off E.T right down around Mid 11's

just a suggestion,
if you have drum brakes on the rear ? try backing off the adjustment a bit... and always start in the burnout box in 2nd gear to save the trans sprag(manual low kills stuff). Just start in 2nd and let it upshift itself then let it power out of the B/box under load.
Only wimps wear Bowties !

Its impossible to see in the video but how was the burnout done and it what part of the box? What slicks were you running? Certain brands like different air pressures and lengths of burnouts. If you couldnt hold the car, try spinning the tires a quick turn deep in the water 1st, then roll to the edge of the water and keep the tires just in the water. Stock drums should hold the car. Stock stuff held my 4 gear on slicks 3 footing it.

They are 325 50 15 nitto  18 psi, they where running a lot of street tire cars & not much water in the box, I did not want to spin the tires in the box & get water in the wheel wells Tires have tread, but I should have, cause rolling through the box did not get enough water on the tires, SO it just spun a little & pushed the front drum brakes, the burn out was not good!!!!!, then I could not see my tach & shifted WAY late. Drove it 45 miles there with the ac on in overdrive @ 80 mph, it has more in it, because of health reasons the last time I drag raced a car was in 2004 so I am a little rusty.

Thanks Bob, there is more in it, Mph is not that far off for a heavy pig & very small cam, I think it has 118mph in it with some tuning but 1st it needs to hook up.

Very nice.

You should be able to get real close to a 11.99 without changing anything by just working on your driving (60 ft, and shifting)

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

Congrats!  nice run.  I want to run mine someday

I bet you were waiting to get the dana 60 in so that you could give this a shot.  The 8.75 might not have liked all that torque.

He makes alot more torque then i did and i couldnt keep my 8 3/4 together. Traction kills them.
