2012 Dodge Ram Sport performance hood

Hey gang..

I am in need of a performance hood, factory OEM, for my 2012 Dodge Ram Sport.. Is there a source for these in metal? I found a fiberglass option, but want steel.

Unless you get one from a guy with a sport, it's fiberglass. I've been looking for a year and so have a lot of guys on the forum I'm on. No one is making steel ones. Best bet is junk yards.

That's what the body shop has looked around in... I'll have to spread the search...

I thought the newer Ram hoods were aluminum.

Guess what due diligence will get you....... 

I found a hood for the truck... The body shop and insurance company were perfectly happy with me finding it.. Clear across the country, but it's on its way..

The Hoods are available through the dealer...always have been around $1200 cdn

There was a guy driving behind me on the freeway this morning, with one of these hoods on his truck, which made me think of this thread. I must say it does look pretty good on the truck!
