Loose power steering cap

I've noticed that there's a small amount of power steering fluid leaking out of the top of my power steering pump. When the cap is turned all the way clockwise, it seems loose and can be moved a little side to side, but mostly up/down. If I back off the cap a quarter turn, it fits much tighter. Does anyone think I have the wrong cap or does the fitment (a little loose at full lock) seem normal? Obviously the next step will be to run it backed off a 1/4 turn, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Although my pump is slightly different, the cap is very similar, just doesn't have the stick on it and it leaked badly.

I had another cap that was beat up, I peeled out the rubber seal from that and stacked it on my existing cap.  Its slightly tight to put on, but has been leak free for a year.  If it started to leak, my idea was to pick up a generic STANT brand gas cap at the parts store and use the rubber seal from that as it looked similar, but it hasn't leaked yet.

Good luck!

Thanks Timmy! I actually just lost my cap because I'd dialed it back a quarter turn to get it more snug  :brickwall: Ended up falling off while out for a cruise the other day....Luckily it didn't cause any damage in the engine compartment. On the hunt for an oem cap, Think I may have sourced one locally. Until then a piece of plastic (with a pinhole) and a hose clamp are keeping it roadworthy at the moment.
