I am really not that sensitive. But I do NOT put up with being disrespected on my property on in my house, either my way or the highway.
 
  We all have to put up with disrespect at work, that's what we are paid for. I really don't care their.
  We all have to put up with disrespect in public, people in traffic cutting you off, people sneezing all over you at the check out lane in the store, you get the idea.
  But WE do NOT have to put up with it at HOME. Yes, I could have just let it slide. But then that just lets push salesman think its ok. If everyone would stand up to people like this then they would change their attitude.
  Back when telemarketing was out of control the reason it went on for so long is because it worked. Yes they got hung up on a lot but they did make enough sales to make a profit. If everyone had just hung up on them or denied them business then the telemarketing business would have shut down.

Not to be flippant, but may be you need a different job and move to a different town if you feel so downtrodden and disrespected that the last vestige of "respect" you hang on to consists of waving your d!ck at people who knock on your door. Youre basically that guy that gets stepped on all the time and then takes it out at the kid working the McDs drive thru.

No, I am never rude to people unless they bring it on themselves.
  I don't go through the drive thru very often but when I do I always try laugh or joke with them so they will get my order right. A few years ago I was at a store that carried out my order. I asked him if he could accept tips and he said that he did not know because he never got one before. So I handed him a 10 dollar bill and told him not tell his boss or others so he would not get into trouble. I only had 3 bags. There are more stories but I think this is enough.

As  far as work goes. Every job I have ever worked the employee's get disrespected at one time or another. It's why we get paid. Disrespected by being lied to, forced to do 2 jobs when another person only has to do 1.
