Which linkage set to buy?

Hi Guys,
So I installed my A833 trans behind the 440 in my 73 Charger. The linakge set that came with the car isn't the right one for the car, and it's so old and rusted that the swivel end doesn't even come close to swiveling anymore! I'm going to get a new linkage set, but here's my conundrum: My shifter plate (the one that holds the shifter itself to the trans, bolt in with three bolt) puts my shifter directly above where the plate bolts in as opposed to the plate that puts the shifter backward toward the bench seat. my concern is that the linkage set from brewers sells the linkage set for my car, with bench seat, but specifically says that it's for the back-set shifter. Can I get a different linkage set to match my current set up? My shifter and the floor hump all line up fine, I just need the linkages. Alternatively I'm sure I could find the back-set shifter plate, but then I'd have to get a different floor hump etc. Please let me know what you guys think!

Nobody have an a833 in a 71-74 b b-body?

Troy

Do you have a bench seat? Passon lists 2 mounts:

I *thought* that most B-bodies used the same mounting location as the E-bodies but it looks like the bench seat mount is farther forward. I'd think that you could use either as long as the whole setup matched AND you don't have a bench seat. Looks like the rods for the bench seat version may be tougher to come across (probably because they aren't as popular so no demand to manufacture them).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Thank very much Troy, that all looks really helpful! Looks like I have the E-body plate. It's a bench seat car, so there might lie my troubles. The one you linked for the Hurst shifter site comes with the correct back-set mounting plate and linkages, so I'll probably go with that one and modify my trans hump to work with it!
