I have a 67 Charger with a later 727 transmission that has a three prong safety switch. I only need a one prong switch because my car's backup lights are wired directly to the gear selector. It's a console automatic. My question is: Are the single prong and three prong safety switches interchangeable? I really would like to go to a single prong vs. using the three prong and having to tape off the unused wiring. Thank you.

The single-prong '64-'68 NSS will work in the later trans.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
