I have 4-wheel power drum brakes on my 68 Charger. I want to convert the fronts to disc.
Do I need to change out the booster ??
And the prop valve ??

Thanks  :2thumbs:

Not necessarily. I did call dr. Diff, he recommended changing my booster or getting rid of it for manual set up. But I kept my drum booster. I have yet to add the prop valve, but my brakes are working fine with the drum booster.
It's the master cylinder you must change.

I did  12 in. manual rotors on mine and  couldn't lock them up for anything so I spent $100 plus for a disc brake prop. valve and no difference at all so I was considering putting the drum booster back in.  What MC. do you have ??  I put a new 2 bolt aluminum unit from a 79 Magnum. I never had a problem with stopping the car with 11 in. power drums but went with discs so I could put in drop spindles..
