Clearing sagebrush

Anyone here ever cleared sagebrush? As soon as the contractor puts in my culvert (county wont let me do it myself), I'm going to start clearing my road and property lines. Total of ~1 mile x 10ft wide, and ~1/3 mile x 20ft wide.
The property line will be the easy one, I have a brand new Echo brush cutter (not a weed wacker). The driveway is the harder part as I am doing all of it by myself. I'm thinking a chain to the hitch to pull them up. I love to be able to just get a D6 out there, but buying one is not in my future and renting one would be almost as bad on the wallet considering that it is a ways away from anything.
I've already marked my corners and halfway points, but I'd like to be able to stand on one corner and see the others without having to try to see past 6ft tall sagebrush. Plus it will eventually make a good exercise track. Eventually, I'll get a small dozer to clear the driveway path and lay down gravel.

Burn 'em with a propane torch.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Go over to the, Heavy Equipment Forum, join up & ask away, lots of good info on it.

Tried a couple H.E. forums. Everyone says use a D6. Cost to get one out there is prohibitive for renting one. Eventually, I'll buy a small one in the D1 range.
I wish I could burn, but that wouldn't be wise for me to do. From talking with the county, I would have zero support. Even asked if they'd be interested in using it for training, you'd would have thought I'd insulted them.
Size ranges from 2-7 feet tall with a couple that will probably take a chainsaw to have any effect on.
