I was at a show this weekend with a small swap meet. One guy had a complete jack for $400. C9 if I remember the date.  Last year, the same show had one for $225. I did not need it but I guess I should have bought it.

Charger-Bodie

400ish has been the norm for a few years now. The 225 one was a fluke. Imo
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Reproduction Charger jacks are supposedly coming out soon.

I recently sold one restored for $400, had base, stand, wrench. I had it media blasted and painted. Only thing missing was the spring and the sticker. Was missing the date stamp, so correct for 68-69.
"An aggressive exterior with power to match was enough to pull in the performance boys-especially when abetted by a pair of pipes blaring out the back, and brawny red-sidewall rubber hitting the pavement."

"........the four speed box changes cogs with the precision of a sharp axe striking soft pine."

Ok, so Nick the new guy feels like he's getting picked on.   ;D.

I guess I'm used to having guys low ball the heck out of me when I put something online for sale, so I figured I'd price my jack with a little wiggle room.

I've not owned a charger since 08, and I still cling to the idea that maybe one day I will find the survivor car I long for.  I've restored way too many chargers and other mopars to ever go through that process again.  It's taken me a long time to decide to part with some of my long saved treasures.  I'm not in the business to buy and sell Mopar parts, but I'll be in the marked for a survivor charger that I can tinker with and enjoy.  and that's gonna cost some dough.  The ones that got away are mostly in Europe now and I've no desire to travel abroad anytime soon.

I'll be posting more stuff on here and I'll just price it at what I'm willing to sell it for and see what happens.  I detest ebay and the idiots it attracts, but I do look at ebay to get an Idea on current values.  I was knee deep and tens of thousands of dollars invested in the repop mopar parts world and I have a very jaded opinion on the quality/price of those parts.  So I tend to value original nice parts a little more, regardless of what others may think.

I'm new to this site, and I've spent a lot of time reading over a lot of the recent posts on here.  I must say, you guys are a riot.  Brutal, sarcastic, knowldegable and for the most part, very welcoming.  It's also nice to see that most of you can spell.  I was a mopar hobbyist that turned it into a business in the mid 90's and did that until 08.  I had to walk away and re-invent myself.  But the 68 and 69 charger still lives in my heart.  70's are ok, I just can't see past that wrap around front bumper. :icon_smile_blackeye:

Comments, suggestions greatly accepted.  Sarcasm too.

I'm not picking on you by bring up the jack thing. It's just that you don't see them for sale very often and usually the prices at this particular meet are cheaper than what you see on the Internet. I sold one to a guy for $400 restored locally awhile back. I tend to sell my parts at a premium price because I have to pay premium price to get the parts I need to finish my cars. The inflation factor in this country is going through the roof on everything. If we don't get this national debt problem solved, a hamburger will cost 20 bucks at Burger King. I guess it's all relevant. As long as wages go up. I just feel sorry for the fixed income group. I may be one of those soon!

My wages sure don't go up as fast as inflation increases, and that sucks.

I think that's the best part! Well, that and pretty much everything else about the car. :yesnod:  :icon_smile_cool:

Well, like they say, to each his own.  Maybe I don't like the 70 because the first girl to break my heart drove one.  About ran over me with that big ass bumper.   :icon_smile_big:

Yeah, I could see that leaving a sour spot, I guess.

Well, ya see......it was like this......I had spent the entire week after school, tuning up her 383 for the races Friday night, as I was pretty confident my rusty old charger was good to go.  We were running a 1/4 track on an industrial road that was a mile long and straight as an arrow, out in the middle of nowhere.  Not a sanctioned track by any stretch of the imagination.   About 50 cars showed up Friday night, and after running several passes down the track, we were both on the eliminations to run against each other......not planned of course.   Well, I won by 2 lengths and she lost power coming back in.   She was pissed, I was poking around under her hood trying to figure out what the heck went wrong (you remember those days, thought you knew what the hell you were doing, but really didn't) and she lets out the clutch, car lurches, I sidestep, but not before the bumper caught my leg.   She then dumped me because she though I messed with her car.

I have an extra one if anyone's interested.....needs restored...PM me 😊
