Right, that's T3.  Almost a copy of mine except the dealer air and cruise control. Also my VIN goes XP29H9.   :icon_smile_big:

Exactly, that grille is having a bit of an identity crisis.
Oh, and buy some front floor mats that fit!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

:2thumbs:   Nice.   I guess they're still out there hiding.

Would that be an awesome starting point for a General Lee, or what?   :Two cents:

Pretty pricey though. Makes that brown R/T from a few year back still look like a deal, unless prices have gone up that much for a 383 car w/ R/T emblem  :scratchchin:

If you're going to ruin a car might as well start with something like this instead of a good survivor....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Dodge-Charger-Build-an-RT-SE-Clone-/272349021496?=true&hash=item3f69444538%3Ag%3AKjMAAOSw0UdXulEA&item=272349021496&nma=true&si=cdHP5l%252BLIekc7VZwnTok%252BLC2ImQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

What's the private listing about?  Easy way to schill bid the price up? (400% more then it's worth).
It's a clone, so all you're buying is a rear bumper and seat frames, and an xp title.  :shruggy:

marshallfry01

I'd make it a General Lee. That brown paint doesn't do it for me. And it's not like it's a rare R/T or anything...

But I'm not buying it so my opinion doesn't matter  :nana:
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

Hi everyone, I'm the new guy around here  I have been watching this one also, and it looks like somebody hit the "buy it now". I'm in the market for a nice charger, and this one looked real clean, but I wasn't expecting $39k!

Not surprisingly...  a lot of ebay auctions end up back on ebay after a buyer backs out or doesn't pay.   Check back in a couple weeks.

I have noticed that a few times as well. Not a big deal either way, I liked the car, but I would almost feel bad about changing anything about it.

I was kidding, mostly...

Talk of ruining a perfectly good survivor Charger is nothing to joke about.

Sixshooter

Brian, you were correct. It's already relisted. Ad says someone accidentally hit the buy it now button. More than likely immediate buyers remorse as eBay has you verify that you meant to purchase something.

Numbers matching, but block is turquoise... shouldn't this be orange, especially being a late build

I'm pretty sure I've seen this one locally.
If it's the car I'm thinking of, from what I remember the father owned it for a long time then gave it to his son to use where it turned downhill. The body is loaded with small dents & dings (you can see a few of them in the pics). Every time I saw it at local shows and stuff the body became more & more covered in dings. Otherwise, yes it's a clean unrestored Charger.

It's a 383 with a 2 barrel carburetor.  :scope:

It should be blue/turquoise.  :Twocents:

That's a shame the condition has gone downhill. What does everyone think this car would actually be worth?

Mike DC

WTF is wrong with the son?  That story doesn't make sense to me.

If the son was an adult then I would think he'd realize the car was valuable and be careful with it.  Even if he didn't want the car, you'd think he would understand that it's a big pile of money headed his way eventually if he didn't destroy it.

If the son was a teenager then I would expect mostly the same.  Except teenagers are more likely to smash it up by accident or showing off because they can't drive worth a crap.
