These pictures are from 1983 to about 1986.  Also have some other Mopar pictures of cars at a classic car place in Redding, CA about 1986.  Just thought I'd share.

Anyone recognize this 1970 Charger R/T?  It was for sale in Redding, CA in 1986 at a classic car place.  That's when these pictures were taken...1986.

LeesRT

Or, does anyone recognize this 1970 Challenger T/A?  It was also for sale in 1986 at the same classic car place in Redding, CA.  They were asking $14,000.00 in 1986 for this T/A.

LeesRT

One more of the T/A and then three of a 1970 Superbee at the same classic car place in 1986...Redding CA.

i was born in the wrong era...wish i was born in the mid 60's lol

It's sad to think that these cars were going for cheap money back in the 1980s.  I paid $1700.00 for my 1969 Charger R/T you see in these pictures.  It's a 440, 4-speed car , F6 green, V21.  The guy I bought it from needed cash to buy a 1969 Hemi Roadrunner.  I put an ad in a local newspaper asking for a 1969 Charger with a 440.  This was one of the cars I saw.  The other call I got was a 69 R/T, automatic car for $300.00. I wish I had bought them both.

Thanks for sharing those pictures.  You have a mean looking Charger! :2thumbs:
Btw, $1700 buys you two AMD full quarters nowadays.

Very cool pics !!!! Love those circa pics !!!!! Do you still have the car Lee , or did I miss it somewhere ? What part of Ca are you from ?

LeesRT

Yes, I still have the car.  It's in project state right now.  I have some of it taken apart for restoring.  I have all the "hard to find" parts.  I'm in the process of buying aftermarket parts now.  I'm in Northern California (half way between Sacramento and Redding California).

Is that a typo?

Just 6T9 CHGR

parts of Lee's R/T made it here to NY & NJ.....his V21 template that he made for me many years ago served mine & Bill440rt's cars well!

Cool pics brother!

Chris' '69 Charger R/T

LeesRT

That's not a typo on the $14,000.00 for the T/A Challenger.

I remember those days & the cheap Prices. $14k was alot back then in 86, 4 years earlier in 82 you probably could of bought it for $4k. & 4 years later in 1990 prices peaked it would probably been a $20k car. Prices really started going up in the mid 80's. LEON.
