The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

It always surprises me with things like this that nobody has seen or heard anything.

My thoughts also. Somebody had to have heard or seen something.
Nothing personal, just business

Same thing happened here in Fort Wayne at Glenbrook Dodge a few years ago.  They took all the tires off the cars in the parking lot behind and along side the main building.  Similar setup to.  Left the cars sitting on chunks of 2X4s.  Some appeared to be placed decently so at least just the tires. Others appeared to have body damage from sitting on the 2x4s.

Had to take sometime to get all that done.

Note to cops:  Be on the lookout for local thugs practicing pitstop drills.

48 vehicles x 4 = 192 wheels.  They look to be a bunch of Camaros & trucks which means BIG wheels too.

How do you even haul off that many sets of wheels in one sitting?  That's not just 2 guys in a pickup truck with a floor jack.  This was probably at least 6-7 guys and multiple hauling vehicles.  They meant business.

Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

What no cameras on the lot?   :shruggy:
Yes, but the thiefs disabled the lights so not much to see on the video.

Charger_Fan

I bet after this, they will have infrared cameras on that lot. :yesnod:  Probably at the behest of their insurance company.

This has happened to two San Antonio, Texas dealerships within the last year.  These thieves have also been steeling wheels from pickups parked at people's homes.

I am thinking that those entities responsible for crop circles are the ones taking wheels/tires.

Maybe so?

I don't get it though, where would there possibly be a demand large enough for a bunch of factory take-off wheels & tires? With the exception maybe of the Caddy wheels, usually stockers are removed in favor of bling wheels of some sort...so you'd think they would be worth less than something more appealing. :shruggy:

Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, etc.

Police estimate it took 4 hours to rip off all 192 wheels?

Who would stick around for 4 hours?

Mike DC

4 hours for 48 vehicles would give them around 5 minutes per vehicle.  75 seconds per wheel.  That's pretty fast for doing it without impact wrenches.

(It doesn't sound too hard to remove the first wheel in 75 seconds.   Maybe even keep up that pace for 15-20 minutes.  But 4 hours straight?  That's a different story.)

My buddy that works at a dealership has a battery pack impact driver . . . Works just fine.   :shruggy:

:o .....    the cynical side of me  , though at first ! inside job ... for insurance , ! because the amount of time , spent on site , un screwing all those  wheel nuts  :o ......   then read its happened  to a number of other places .....   :o  who ever done it , must have a market to get rid them PDQ , because other wise that's a lot of hot wheels & tires , which take up a lot of space to  hide  :scratchchin:

How do you get the jack out from under the car?

LaOtto70Charger

If you look at the picture close you can see the 2x4s the place the vehicle on. Looks like trucks are on the brake and cars on the frame. I wonder 1 or two jacks at a time.  Also wonder if multiple crews across us or same one traveling

GOTWING

At least they were nice enough to leave the lug nuts in nice little piles.  :D

Jack?  Or, did they just let the air out of the tires on the trucks/SUVs.

I have no clue in the Camaros.   Could they have used 4x4 and a cement block as a simple lever?

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?
