Any documentation out there to say what cap color went with each size Mopar battery?

Specifically, anyone know what a vintage MoPar "FLEET COMMERCIAL" Group 24 battery would have?  Any photos of an original out there?

thanks for the help!

Check out the photo below!
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

From all that I have seen, Red cap is group 27, green group 24.
It does surprise me however how many cars got the group 24 despite having a higher output alternator.

Looks like the fleet has yellow in this catalog.
Thanks for the link...   :2thumbs:

Actual 1970 photo...

Red can be ruled out, since the STP fender cover is red and that doesn't match the battery caps.
The "M" before the word "MOPAR" on the batteries side is light green.

Bright sun on right side of the battery, shade on the left side.

Opinions?

Found an original yellow and green cap.
Took a pic.
Copied that and removed the color...
Looks like the green one wins.

ODZKing is correct.  :2thumbs:

My Charger came with and still has installed, a "Group 27" battery.  The new one is obviously a repop and a "glass-mat" battery which is great as it does not emit sulphur fumes and affect the paint.  It has red caps and I believe it is the correct color for the Group 27 batteries.

Looks like all Grp. 27 had red caps.
The amount of yellow cap batteries is staggering... a lot more than expected.
I really don't see many at the shows. I guess a green cap is good enough for most Grp. 24 batteries.

As far as which a car came with, that info. is on your Broadcast sheet
Ron

No broadcast sheet in a race car.
Battery is installed behind the left front wheel.
You can see the hold down in one of the pics.
