The ad says it started life as a '68.

And King Richard has signed it.

I applaud the seller for giving it a tolerable price.

This thing may not bring $25k but at least he's in the ballpark for the parts in it.  Many sellers want 6 figures for the fugliest custom jobs.

6bblgt

$25K is the opening bid price with a reserve  :scratchchin: do you know the reserve?

QuoteRichard invited the previous owner down to the Richard Petty experience and was able to run this car on the track 139 mph.

25k is just the starting bid. Who knows what the reserve is.

This one will probably be a lesson in what happens to car value when you customize too much to personal taste. On the other hand, for the right price this could be a decent starting point for something else. As long the underlying build is good, it's just paint and parts to make it into what you want.

I like this line in the ad

I like custom Chargers. I really, really do.

Just not this one.   :eek2:

This is impressively distasteful.

If it's in great shape otherwise, the Daytona parts and hood could be removed and sold to make up the difference in having to cosmetically fix it. Or for 25K, plus a few out of pocket dollars, it could maybe be made into a decent clone  :shruggy:

This guy is a flipper.

This is the same guy who bought that 69 out of the classified section here and had it on E-Bay in 24 hours.

But for some reason there's a 440 sticker on the intake?  I'd be looking for someone building a Daytona clone, sell them all those parts, and make it a proper 68 again.
Every great legend has it's humble beginning.

I'm honestly surprised it doesn't have HEMI plastered all over it and stitched into the seats.

Love the snap-on headlight covers.   :hah:

Hopefully this flipper will get stuck with this one.

who ever built this ,  sure spent some dough to create his or her own dream mopar ! just like  all or most  custom build , beauty is in the eye of the beholder , think that how the ole saying goes anyway .... :scratchchin:

think the seller would be better off taking the aero  & custom parts off &  put it back to resembling a 68 XP charger , with a custom two tone paint job & 69 interior , or   better still go for a repaint too imo , or even better return it to stock   :shruggy: :yesnod: :scratchchin: :popcrn:

drop the side pipes and a couple other goofy bolt ons, tub it  and paint it black it would be pretty cool.
