Richard Cranium and Mytur Binsdirti, pick one and stick with it.  ::)

I heard an admin from another site talking at Carlisle, he said he blocked the ISP of ONE trouble maker & TEN user names went "POOF".

What the hell, man???
I do enjoy these sites, I frequent a few. On Yellow Bullet. there are several instances of multiple screen names. WHY ??? You see the same mannerisms, sometimes the same exact attitude or phrases coming from different screen names.
I did use 2 screen names on a site years ago because I was banned despite the offense being something very minor. Moderators are people and some people are just trigger happy assclowns.
Yellow Bullet is essentially UNmoderated so why the multiple names? FBBO has pretty lax moderators, same with this site. Why go through the trouble of having multiple "personalities?
How about instead of spending so much time on your multiple accounts, you GO OUTSIDE AND WORK ON YOUR CAR.

I think he / they are usually funny.  When he / they are not funny, the mods cut it off.  I'm ok with it.

Yellow Bullet, now that is some funny freak show over there.

Now see, there's someone that gets the dopey screen name, irreverent/sarcastic/dry humor, unlike the crybabies that went on a tirade got "Richard Cranium" banned several years ago.

Truth of the matter is that I tried logging in with this screen name on one computer and low & behold, it worked, so I thought I'd try to have some fun with it for a short bit. However, it appears that there are still those here who are still humor-impaired. As the next President says; "sad, so sad".

Other than this, do I have multiple screen here and elsewhere? No, not at all. So, here's to those who are still offended.....

The world is a curious place...So are Mytur and Richard.

I thought I read from a moderator's post a while back that one issue with multiple screen names was that someone could agree with themselves (I assume for bad).

I was also under the impression that the moderators here had been working to prevent it, and assume they will find a reasonable solution here.

All I can think now is: Why Mytur and Richard? If that combination combines forces, we will all be toast.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

For some people this forum is just a playground.

Yep, and it's threads like this that keep them going.

The way the world rolls in this day and age, is usually a laugh or cry scenario. I choose to laugh or find humor in a tough situation, better than crying!!. I cannot add up how many times I have logged in a mundane or cranky mood, checked into a thread with the above's name attached, and almost taken out my keyboard from laughing so hard!!!!

So

Look at the bright side.

By the way, Mytur, Rich and M.                  Thank you for the humor!!!!

Lennard

There is nothing wrong with adding humor to a topic. Putting other forum members down (that they don't even know personally) to try to be funny is not humor. Don't say things to a person on the internet, that you wouldn't say to him if you would stand in front of him. :Twocents:

Many times humor comes at someone else's expense. Some roll with it, some don't and some are offended. I'll often poke fun at myself and it doesn't offend me. But give me an example of someone whose feelings were hurt and let's analyse it.

On a separate but related note, remember my previous avatar with the guy wearing the huge blue turban with the sword? When I set out to find a picture, I looked for the most ridiculous picture that I could find and that was it. After some time, I was contacted by one of the board lords because someone was "offended" by that picture and complained. From what I heard, that person got pissed off an left. Oh well.    ::)

You have to be careful with IP bans. I accidentally banned an AOL IP address once and knocked out a large chunk of the members on the site! (AOL rotates IP addresses so odds are really good that every single member will eventually use one of the banned ones.) :D

In this case, the original user account was banned. Then it was not. I'm fully aware of the multiple accounts.

I didn't pay much attention to this thread until tonight... when my 17 year-old son decided that he, too, should be a member here. So, once his membership is approved, we will have TWO members sharing the same IP address. Just so people know...  :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I am an admin of a non-car related forum. I never look into peoples IP's or anything. One day I did and found one guy had like 10 ID's going. There were literally entire THREADS of him having the various ID's having a "conversation" amongst each other. Looking closer, I noticed the style of writing and many quirks were shared between all the ID's. I never said anything and he still is active. Kind of scared to address it...
