Hagerty and Nada appraisals

Hi

The variance between the two main US online classic car appraisers for a Superbird 440/6 are huge!    

Superbird 6 pack
Hagerty #2 = $185K
Nada     #2 = $107K

Use Hagerty's if you are needing one for your insurance policy.  Use NADA if you are wanting to know what to pay for one.

That's because Hagerty uses auction prices along with insured values and private sales (if known) to make up their market values.
Not sure what NADA is using...

Being a recent shopper for a 440/6 bird, I think somewhere between the two is more accurate (depending: colour, 4 speed etc).

That was for a J9B (Hemi). Not an L9B (440)

Apologies 5, my mistake.
Wonder why that is?
Have you contacted them about it?
I would think there are more 440s on the market than Hemis.
But maybe Hemi s are the only ones sell at auctions??

Good question.  You've probably nailed it, I haven't seen too many 440s hit the big time auctions.
