Hi I'm going to be putting taller tires on my charger after my rear gear change so I'm not doing so many rpms while on the highway right now i have 255 /60/15 in the rear. I have to have the front end checked 1st because of inner tire ware..might have to much camber. And Im thinking of putting the rears up front and that buying new rears. Dose anyone know if they will fit in the front with out any issues? I'm using the remake of the general lee wheel for rims.

i too have the remake general lee wheels. i am running 245/60 up front and they don't rub, not sure on 255. what is your width. I'm at 15x7 all around.

I'm running 255/45R18 (27" tire, so same height and width as yours) and I am close to the forward fender on the passenger side but no contact.  I previously had 235/70R15 which is a 28" tire and that cleared as well.

Should probably be fine, but since you have them on the rear I'd swap one up front and double check.

Places most likely to rub with that tire/wheel combo will be front lip of fender during turns and upper fender support over bumps.

Also, when the steering is turned all the way to one side, the inside front tire can rub against the subframe rail behind the control arms.

Sometimes I think about building a drifting-oriented Mopar.  That seems like a good spot to notch out a bit more clearance & let the front wheels turn farther.

this might be a good idea, and an easy check.

Impressive, i tried that on a set of 8.5 wheels and they hit hard on the outer fender lip even with the t bars cranked all the way up. How did you get the fender lip to clear?

I didn't do anything to the fenders or modify anything to get them to fit. I have OEM mopar 15" cop car wheels so the backspacing must be just right.

nobody has considered offset/backspacing ?

I'm running 255/60-15 all 4 corners in 15x7 Specialty wheels Rallyes ( 3.75" back space if I'm right ) without any problem anywhere, at least I can tell. Sure is a 3rd gen, But I don't think will be way diff

correction... it seems my wheels are 4.25" backspacing ? weird! I would think is less... whatever they are running fine in front, no rub inside as far I can tell, sure maybe close.

I had those on cop car rims when I started out and they cleared with no problem but when I went to 10 in rims the tires hit everything including fender lip ,the frame in front and back and a few scrub marks on the firewall.
