Sounds like what the ad says. It was 413 car and at one point a Hemi was in it.

I don't that is significant in any way or even worth mentioning    :shruggy:    :Twocents:

I agree. Not a Hemi wagon and it does not even have a powertrain.  :brickwall:

Seriously, a contemporary dealership conversion to a Hemi four speed is not interesting? :shruggy:

To each his own I guess, would still be interested to hear more about this car.

Four speed wagon with power windows.  Sounds fun to me even with a 413.

I guess it's sorta interesting but lots of cars had Hemi's or 6 Packs dropped in them.
I don't think it really makes a difference if a dealer did it or a backyard mechanic.  I could be wrong, maybe it is significant somehow.   :shruggy:  But not really to me.

It's a cool car but I wouldn't pay any more for it just because it once had a hemi in it.  Without proof it may be just a way to gain attention to the ad and it worked.

daveco

I'm interested in hearing the story regardless of how it pertains to the value of the car.
Actually, really couldn't care less about value or collectibility, just seems like a car like this almost has to have an interesting back story.

Hanging on to any old wagon that is not rotted out just feels like a good move.
If this is indeed an original 4sp wagon --that alone is enough to keep it out of the smelter.
I am always drawn to the -odd- cars.

Something like this gives me pause at a car show after going past row after row of all the same --aside details.-- :Twocents:

RallyeMike

It's a very unusual car just for PW + rear AC in this time period. If the 4speed and console were original, it's off the charts, but I'm sure the 4-gear was added.

The dealer added hemi story really means nothing.

per the fender tag - the 4-speed was added

He must have just pulled the hemi because those pics look like it was still in there (see top of air cleaner).

If it was such a rare car, you wouldn't yank the one thing that made it so and as the 4 speed was added, it's a nothing car, except by virtue it is a wagon and therefore pretty hard to come by.

Move along, nothing to see here.

I wonder how much it originally sold for with the 426 in it ?  I also wonder if the 426 had A/C fitted for that oven.

Man, that car is in nice shape! As cool as this wagon is in general, he should have left the HEMI in there. The overall package would have been much more appealing with it complete IMO.

Cool Belvedere wagon, Turbin! :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I was thinking the same thing. :2thumbs:  The car with the running hemi has an appeal that I like. Taking the hemi out to sell seperate IMO makes the car turn into a very hard to sell project that likely will make it just a parts car. :Twocents:

it appears to be on the same trailer, maybe it was for sale whole & someone made an offer on the HEMI ONLY that he couldn't refuse?

it's all speculation - if it matters give him a call & get the "rest of the story"!

Yep.  :flame:

Troy

I would guess that the value of the Hemi (and parts) in addition to the car (shell) is more than the car with a Hemi in it. It's pretty common for the finished product to be worth less than the things that went into it. Especially if the end result is some oddball. Completely different story if you stuck the drive train in a Slant Six E-body convertible.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Homerr

I saw this car for sale months ago, maybe linked from fcbo, with the hemi included.  Dunno if that seller poached the hemi, or this is a new seller/poacher.
