Nice.   Thanks.

Have 2765 on both cars.   Work good.  Only thing sketchy is the mounting area to the water pump... It needs to be wider ... err bigger.

Can someone show a part number to a fan disc to pair with this clutch? I currently have a solid aluminum flex fan, and have been wanting to convert to a clutch fan for a while.

What's the best fan disc for this clutch assembly?

Spec sheet says the 2947 mounting flange is 2.69" diameter....factory is around 2.50".

I wonder if this would be better for my charger than the torque clutch I am currently running. When I get in town the temp goes up since there is no air flow through the radiator but when I get back on the highway the temp cool's back down. When I got my car it had a big radiator in it and seems to be a good one and looks fine in the engine bay and doesn't look out of place. Just recently it has been running on the warm side (190 to 200ish) and I have no idea why. I went from a milidon 180 thermostat to a 160 milidon thermostat to taking an old regular thermostat and cutting the middle out of it and gutting it basically so that it flows all the time and it still gets warm in town. I had the radiator checked by my local radtator guy and he said it was flowing fine. I am not running a shroud but I think I do have one that I can maybe get to work with that radiator but it never has had one and has never ran warm like this before either. I wonder if my torque clutch has failed and this is why it's getting warm in town and at slower speeds. This HD fan clutch may help with my running warm issues.....

Just wanted to bump this thread and say that I have this clutch installed now, and it works great.

My car has a thick aluminum radiator from Summit, so room was tight, but the clutch clears the radiator by 1.25 inches. Putting the bolts in the water pump pulley is a royal pain, however.

It's hard to get a pic with the fan shroud in the way, but here it is installed.

Also, I replaced a flex fan with this, and the difference in airflow is significant.

Thanks again for posting this cdr!

Lotta fun installing that short fan clutch, huh? Just installed one on my Poly 325, very little room to install the bolts into the pump flange.

Isn't 190 - 200 pretty ideal for a 440?

Wow, John, that looks like a fun install. I just thought mine was tight.

Dino, i'm sure it would be ideal if that were the thermostat that I was running but with a gutted thermostat I was thinking it would be running too cool but when I get into town and get into stop and go traffic the temp starts coming up and up and up. I think I have a radiator issue or a fan clutch not working like it's supposed to.....

Dino

Ah I see. Maybe you can try a cheap direct drive fan for a while to see if that improves the situation?
