They already make an oversize Dodge Charger.  It's at the local dealership.  Weighs like 4400 lbs.

That's a crapload of work in that oversize Beetle.  

I can't believe they did it in steel.  Between 3D scanning the stock parts and making tons templates . . . they probably did 2/3rds of the same work that fiberglass molds require, all before they even started bending sheetmetal.  And the final 1/3rd of finish work would have been much easier in fiberglass.


It sorely needs the roof though.  Beetles never looked that great as convertibles IMO.  You lose half the signature lines of the body.
