I have a Milodon 7 qt oil pan http://www.manciniracing.com/38hemlowprof.html
I bought a dipstick from 440 source...without thinking that it would read incorrectly with my pan.

Would this dipstick work better?

Since a dipstik reads the top level of oil.  It would not know (or show) that you have a deeper pan. ;)

If I recall correctly the oil level should be about 2" below the pan mounting surface.

 :iagree: The only time you would want to modify the dipstick length is if you purposely want to change the full level in the pan.
