Mechanical temp guage sender size?

Does someone make an aftermarket mechanical temp guage that has a sender that would fit in the small hole on the water pump housing on driver side of the car? My car does hot have the extra hole on the passenger side of the housing.   The auto meter guage I picked up has a large sender that requires some extra fittings and the larger hole in the housing.

Ive never seen a mechanical that will fit the small hole. Diameter aside, the standard length of the probe would usually bottom out without the adapter.

That's what I was thinking as well.  It looks like I may use my heater hose site for the summer and change housings again this winter.  I found a housing that has 3 holes on the pass side and a plug for a small sender on the front.  It was a housing from a 1977 440.
