Upper door hinge removal

Hi Guys.  Quick question.  I'm removing the doors and hinges from my '73.   On the upper hinge there are 2 bolts that hold it to the A-pillar, and then some kind of pin that the hinge hangs on.  Is the hinge supposed to slide off that pin?  Mine won't budge but I don't want to apply too much force until I know for sure how it is supposed to come apart.

Thanks

Curt

The pin you see is actually a bolt that you remove from inside the car.

Thanks.  I saw that in the diagram in the manual but I wasn't sure if it threaded into the hinge or not.  I was secretly hoping the door just slid onto it to make it easier to hang.  No such luck.
