I found a 68 roadrunner that has a Dana 60 in it.  I can buy the whole car cheap enough but how do I tell if that is a true B Body Dana 60?   Thanks, Clark.   :2thumbs:

VIN code? Didnt all R/T 440 and 426's come with a dana 60(with a 4 speed)?

Problem is, someone "tried" to turn this into a drag car.  It has a roll cage, diamond plate where the aprons once were, ect.    So I want to verify that it really is a B body Dana 60 before I buy it.   Thanks

Car danas have pinion snubber mounts cast into them. If some built a dana for it they typically start with a truck housing which does not have the snubber mount. Easiest 5 second way to tell.

Only a Hemi '68 Roadrunner would have come with a Dana. Is it a Hemi car?

This  :iagree: And you could also check the gear ratio, unless they were changed -  68 was a 3.54 ratio only, 69-70 could be either 3.54 or 4.10

I don't know if this is helpful or not....

Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.
