The Children's Book Run, benefiting the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, will be held on Saturday, December 3rd.  We don't collect money for them, we collect children's books, one (at least) per person in your rally car.  Bring them to registration in Plano, and I will deliver them the following week to Scottish Rite, in time for Christmas.

This rally will have something familiar (funny signs to find), and something new (bonus questions that you have to get out of your car to answer: think Geocaching).

The start for this event will be at Subaru of Plano, 4480 W. Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75093.  The finish will be at Spring Creek Barbeque, in McKinney.  The route in between?  That would be telling, wouldn't it?  Some of it will be urban, and some of it will be pretty country roads.

Go to http://www.msreg.com/CBR16msr to preregister.  The fee is $25, with SCCA members getting a $5 discount.  Any four-wheel (exceptions will be made for certain Morgans and dually pickups) vehicle in good condition may run, and there must be at least two people who can read in the car.

More details about the event will be found at the msreg.com/CBR16msr site referenced above.  To preregister while there, page to the bottom and click on "Continue".

It's just about 2 weeks until the Book Run.  If you haven't registered yet, now would be a good time!

The run is from Plano to McKinney, going as far north as Weston.  We don't quite have cars from A to Z, but we do have entries from Audi to WRX.

Go to http://www.msreg.com/CBR16msr to preregister.  More details about the event will be found there.

If it was about 3000 miles nearer I'd bring my dad's 1962 Ford Zephyr Mk 2 ...just to help with that alphabet!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

I just got an entry in our rally from a guy whose home address is in Hawaii!  If you came, I would have to buy a bigger map to see who gets the "long distance" honors.

I'm not sure it would make it that far.....they were not fantastically reliable when they were new.....and there is sea in the way!!

EDIT.....its a miracle....first pic I've ever successfully posted. What were the code writers thinking by making it twice as difficult as on any other car site I frequent. None of this photobucket nonsense needed there ! lol!

What a pretty car!  It would make quite a splash at our rally.  Or you could fly in and rent a car....

Fifteen cars entered so far.  I would guess 25 on rally day.  We have home addresses from Honolulu Hawaii, Box Elder South Dakota, and Champaign Illinois.  We have Audi, BMW (2), Corvette, Cruze, Escape, Jeep, Mazda, Mini, Mustang, Pacifica, Subaru WRX (2), Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo.  Registration closes Friday at 6pm.  Go to http://www.msreg.com/CBR16msr to join us!
