Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

To me it just does not seem right.  However, I always say your car do WHAT YOU LIKE.   I would not but again.  your car.

i'll be honest i don't like it either.. but i'll tell you one thing.. and you guys have to admit i'm right.. if that had been offered from the factory on say only 440 4 speed cars or something stupid., today it would seem desirable and tons of people would be after that look.. but since it was never offered that way it looks "wrong" and "out of place".. kind of likme puting any altered hood design on a 2nd gen charger.. we're not used to it, but it doesn't "look right" lol.. funny how it seems to be ok on a 71 duster 340 or a 70 superbee

To me, it screams out " i was too cheap to get a REAL hood, so i put these cheap scoops on"   Never cared for that style hood on Dusters either.

Personally, I think the Gen 3 cars are meant to have sharky lines and sleek curves.....the scoops just don't suit the car.

I wouldn't have them on my 71. Now a bulge hod......that's what looks good.

I don't like the looks of it, but to each their own.

I want to put a certain hood scoop on my 73 SE that nobody makes. It will have the contours of a power bulge hood and the opening of an AAR Cuda scoop. I just need to carve a mold out of foam and give it to a customer of mine that works with fiberglass.

I wouldn't want it on my car, but if you had to have the wrong scoops at least it isn't a Ford or chevy design.

Look better on an A body.

Go with a bulge/ramcharger scoop hood if you want to get fancy.

I'll be the odd ball I guess...........................looks alright to me! It gives an otherwise large flat acre sized hood some character. :yesnod:

Well Im up in the air I came across it surfin around my thing is I want a way to get some cool air into the carb Tx gets aweful warm in Aug.  The six-pack hood was never offered on these cars either and you can get them if your budget lets you.  I think a bulge hood looks cool also but the six-pack fiberglass hood is cheaper in most cases I cant even comment on a Ramcharger hood cost.  Maybe I'll look into one of those ram-air air cleaners and duct it to the front of the car.

I dont think it looks THAT BAD,.. at least they are in a proper location and painted body color..

my general feeling is that Chargers should look "swoopy" (aka streamlined) without a buncha crap on the hood,.. any year...  :-\
