Brock Lee

A buddy of mine bought the same "brand" aftermarket seat covers and door panels looking to save a buck. The door panels went first, now the seats are starting to come apart at the seams...

comet_666

I was wondering about those door panels..are those map pockets?
Also to my untrained eye, looks like its missing some spot welds in the under body pics   :Twocents:

Brock Lee

Yeah, those are literally map pockets. If you stick anything other than a flat/thin map in it they stretch out and sag as Borat would say "Like sleeve of wizard".

The seller is very adamant about the car being an R/T and commanding a price that reflects that all throughout the description. He's never going to get the expenses back that he's put into it.

It's a nice car overall but it's a General Lee. So spend a ton of money to bring it back to an R/T or let the market dictate what it's worth.

The post comes off cocky so I imagine he's getting a lot of flak over it.

Yep.

But I'll bet they spent plenty of hours block-sanding for final paint.

The more "professionally restored" cars I see, the more I value original sheetmetal.  Restorers never seem to give a shit about anything but appearance.  I'd like to see the results from crash-testing a dozen random muscle cars with the rear half of the sheetmetal replaced.

I was thinking the same same, except I would drop the "Y".

It is not a bad looking car, have been watching since he listed it.  I am guessing his reserve is quite a bit more than I want to spend on her.

I like how the license plates are reflecting in the windshield.  Not as bad as the guys who put the rag over the front plate and then walk around and take a rear pic of the car with the plate in view.

I don't get the paranoia.  Do they remove the plates before pulling on to a public street?

I saw the wind shield reflected plate but I think it is the one every one put on the GL cars

LOL, yes, CNH 320 is somewhat significant in the GL world.
