At almost $50 shipped per gasket, they better work!  So what's so special about these?

Reusable and the rubber has groves that match up to the factory stock valve cover groves under the lip. Very well made. No sealer needed and retains it's shape.

No kidding?  In that case I may actually splurge and get a set because I'm tired of leaks and I don't want my pretty new engine bay covered in oil again!

Your bay is so pristine now I would understand if you didn't want to put the engine back in at all.  As for the valve covers, I'm taking the stance from the Jeep guys: hey, it's a Mopar, they're supposed to leak...

A little late checking back in...but those super gaskets leak just like the others   

late for me as well but surprisingly these worked well for me.  I did have to do a fair amount of trimming to get them to sit flat on the cover and I think I went too far on one of the bolt holes(had to use a bit of extra silicone to stop seepage)

Well, I'm still stuck with leaking valve covers...none of these "Wunder gaskets" work. Could it be the valve cover? I have a set of new M/T valve covers, think those might work any better? maybe the screw holes on the factory ones ore just worn Out?

Or at least give me a suggestion of what combination will last for a few weeks, as it is now I pull up to a stop light and smoke is coming from under the hood

Wow that's bad.  Have you put a straight edge to the covers or the heads?

No, boy I hope that's not an issue, but I'll have to look at that. I discounted it because they'll be ok for a few weeks then start leaking. I figure if they were warped they'd leak right away.

What is really frustrating is searching between here and Mopars  there is no one answer. Some people swear by sealing, others claiming to be professional mechanics, say put them on dry, some swear by cork, others say Wunder gaskets...I mean it runs the complete spectrum.

OK, I feel stupid and this is embarrassing, but it's just too funny not to share...I think I found the issue  Now in what little defense I can muster who would have thought the bolts would be too long?...or perhaps 440source didn't drill the heads deep enough??

So I'm going to get some studs and a new gasket tomorrow and have at it again. oh that wunder gasket just ripped apart when I pulled the cover off, it was sealed.

Well it seems like the pax side valve cover is warped  If I reinstall it without the gasket it has a gap at the back if I push on the front and vise versa. I test fit the drivers side and it was fine.

I think I'll get a replacement valve cover just to make sure...

I just happen to have found 1 ea. new PAX side valve cover on ebay, so project on hold till it arrives

Oh, sorry never updated this, the new valve cover with a properly sealed hard rubber works fine. I also added studs instead of bolts...that is the way to go!
