Just found obx stainless steel headers. Anyone have them or tried them?

Have not had them on a classic, but they are very popular on the import market, and i have seen positive reviews on ls powered cars and trucks and  the modern hemis. Memory seems to tell me they are knock off doug thorleys? But dont hold me to that.

Reason im asking is its looking like schumacher tri-y's, however doug's are a close second but just found out id have to modify column shift linkage to use them. The obx are stainless and well priced and would win if the fit is same or better than the doug's. It would be worth modifying linkage at that price and stainless.

:popcrn: curious what you find. Wont work on my next build with raised exhaust ports, otherwise i would have already bought them.

I bought them and they are fine. On my eddy heads with the angled plugs had to persuade the pipe near #6 a bit though.

And what car did you put it in? Mine is a column shift 69 charger

I have them on Sinnamon.   Seem to fit on regular 346 straight plug iron heads.

Had to beat some on the driver side for power steering box clearance.

They're ball flange... which works great but isn't the normal 3" or 3.5" inch flat 3 bolt flange exhaust.

69' 440/727 shift on floor.

I see these are only available in 1.8 diameter.  My engine made 618 HP on the dyno through 2 inch pipes so do you think I would lose power with these?

I made 580/667 on dyno with these on.

Neglible on a street car.

.....might even pick up a little torque at low revs......right where you need it on the street.
