Anyone here use Rage body filler? Have question.

Which Rage filler should I use after using "all metal" filler?   Welded a patch and want to do final smoothing.
There are different grades of Rage:  Rage Ultra, etc.  What should I use for a final filling?  Thanks.  George

I'm an amateur and have been using the Rage Gold.  Works for me, but in the hot Houston temps, I have to put it in the fridge for a while (before mixing) to give me a few extra minutes of application time.

If you're really close maybe all you need is some high build primer?

 Rage extreme is all I use. Stuff aint cheap, but it works super easy and like the can says, its virtually pinhole free.

Tried out Rage Gold for the first time a few days ago.  All I can say is nothing short of outstanding. 
It spreads easy.  Feather edges easy.  Sanding is very easy compared to other fillers I have used.
Very happy.  It's expensive but it's worth it.

I've used the plain Rage, not Gold or Ultra or Extreme. Just the cheap quart and it worked very well. I let it cure for several days and it still sanded very easily. Very impressed considering it was less than $30. A year after the repair there is no sign of sagging or any other defects. Then again I didn't use more than skim coats either.

I think what you say is important, if it's more than 1/8" (I'd even say 1/16") filler then the metal work is not finished.

I like piling it on to just shy of 1/2".
The paint store appreciates my technique.

I've used standard Rage and Rage Gold, and noticed that Gold is much easier to sand and feather. I love the Gold. It's been my favorite for years.

I didn't know there was an Ultra or Extreme. I'll have to try them one day.

  I figured, though back in the day that was not unheard of. In those situations I always used Duraglass first if that was the type of rust repair that had to be done.

   It was great stuff when it came out 10 plus years ago.
