How do the fit, function? Any adjustment issues? The original right one on my 69 just came apart. Luckily hood is OK and no paint damage, hood is just crooked and won't close.

Hood hinges are about as cheap/available as it gets for a 50yo car part.  I would just go for some decent used originals and not even risk money/aggravation by rolling the dice on repros.

Yeah, fitted some to my '72 Road Runner.

The originals were well past their use by date. New ones were fantastic, solved the sagging and allowed the hood to fit flush for the first time in years.

Yeah... I was thinking about buying some original cores, and sending them off to get rebuilt, but was wondering if anyone has used the repops... 50 year old originals is what was on there, and one came apart while shutting hood. That's something I will always be weary of now.

knowing what repop parts are like for  all makes of car ,  things like hood & door hinges , would  rebuild or get the originals rebuilt  :Twocents:

Daytona R/T SE

I bought a new set of hood hinges from AMD for my Daytona Clone.

They fit like shit, and fucked up my new paint on the bottom of my hood.

We cleaned up and painted my original hinges, no problems.

We had to touch up the paint on the underside of my hood.

Of course, AMD won't take them back, because they were painted.

Now, I've got some shiny B5 blue hinges that are totally useless, sitting on the shelf.

I'm out the cost of the hinges, and the cost to fix the paint on my hood.

Just another of the many ass reamings I've taken on this project.  :brickwall:

Want to hear about my junk reproduction tail light lenses, my shitty car covers...my "steel" latch tray skillfully crafted from bondo (cracked bondo  ::) )

It kinda takes all the fun out of it,

Ya know?...
