Has #3506007 on it.   I can get pics next week. Supposedly nice and straight, covered with dust from sitting since the mid 70s.

AMD is $400.+

NOS = ???.??
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

AMD is crap the tail light buckets need to be cut off and reinstalled. Paying a shop to do this figure on a few hours labor.

NOS $650-800 :scratchchin:

The 69 & 70 panels are not the same.

Happen to know what year that number is for, sir?

They both are interchangeable, but the 69 panel will have holes for the chrome trim around the outer edges whereas the 70 won't. I would venture to guess that there were two '70 tail panles depending if it had the tin trim panel around the tail lights or not.

Yes, safe to say there were two or at least a tool on the line to punch the holes. Can't see how else they would have made the base line Charger 70 tail panels otherwise. They must have chosen to sell that panel to cover both years assuming the installer could add the holes for the trim panel if required.

It has the 'notches' on the sides for the chrome trim studs...

Aha! It's for a Hemi Daytona 4 speed!   :2thumbs:
(or any other Charger in 1969!)

Thanks for the clarity.

I bought a NOS panel many years ago & decided to sell it after I saw that the tail light mounts were not part of the panel. Where do you find these except used? AMD has these on the repro panel so you can just bolt your tail lights in. The NOS panel I sold about 4 years ago went for $750 plus shipping.

And all this time you thought I was just a pretty face.

Old Moparz

You can see the inside edges of the tail light holes & that they don't have those two pieces that extend through the openings to mount the tail lights to. The parts with the studded flange.

Hmm, guess we'll see in a few days.  I'm working on getting some pics.

Repops are crap.  It was said earlier that the tail light housings don't fit.  They are correct.  I had to rework mine to get them to fit.  Contacted AMD and they blaimed it on the body work, the sun, shipping, etc...  They have never had a complaint about the rear tail panel, and wouldn't warranty it.  I would have paid double for a NOS piece for what the repop are going for.

charge69

I guess I was lucky as it was never more than a very minor fitting issue for mine from AMD. The Dutchman's panel, rear tray, both rear quarters, the new one-piece trunk, the whole taillight housing, and lower quarter end caps (the hardest to fit) is all new sheet metal.  The only piece I ever took back to my AMD supplier was a left front fender that we did not end up using and repaired the original. I took it back almost a year after buying it with no problems.

AHA!  Finally, some pics of the dusty NOS tail panel, with part number!
