Important to note that as originally tested, the Daytona had no wing.    Then it got a low wing.      The raised wing with faired uprights came later on.

Didn't the Supercars book specifically report that they found the wing's air was clean at 6" off the deck, and they didn't gain anything (aside from the lateral stability) by raising it?

Didn't the wing get raised to allow the trunk to be usable? ----  I remember a discussion about that years ago.
