Sometimes I think they should incorporate one of those elastic elbow strap thingys into a standard 5pt harness.   Perhaps not both arms but at least for the outer side arm.  It might always take a bit of adjusting every time the person put the harness on, but it could be made to come undone with the same motion that unlatches the rest of the harness.

Being followed everywhere I go has just reminded me that I need to get a hold of Big Daddy Jay.  Haven't talked with him in a while and I bet he would love to cover some of the unique and interesting things we have been doing to commemorate the History of Chrysler.  I bet he would "flip" over doing a segment of our latest 4 Door project.

I think he's still got the skills, he just ran out of flat surface.  It could have happened to lots of guys.  


When it comes to safety I would bet on an older guy's experience over a younger guy's reflexes any day.  (I say this and I'm not very old.)  Reflexes do more to help you take successful risks.  Experience helps you avoid trouble in the first place, and then react in the correct ways when trouble finds you.



The argument could be made that he should have known better than to get the car up without adequate runoff.  But that probably has more to do with familiarity than age.  Keep doing anything risky enough times and pretty soon you start getting more lax about it.  

He might also have been feeling a bit of pressure to get the car running in that spot just for the TV Leno thing.

Good point!  Another secondary (unplanned) outcome to consider is that having the car flip has gotten him more coverage than if the stunt would have come off unhitched.  Isn't it ironic how things that are sometimes considered negative, actually provide the best wide spread publicity!?

I don't really know which one it was.  And no, I'm not a Member there anymore.  I got tired of these losers constantly asking and beating the same issues to death, so I contacted the Administrator to have my project posts removed.  I told him I was not going to post there anymore and we agreed to part on good terms.  I was not "banned" but my screen name was no longer accessible.  It wan't long before those same losers started lying about things so I decided to go back on there to set the record straight.  Of course I had to come up with a new screen name because the one(s) I used had been removed.  

After coming back and speaking my mind, they banned my new name(s) and the lying about my business continued.  I would simply sign back on under as new name (since the old ones had been turned off) to counter the moronic rhetoric being spewed by those liars who don't have a life.  They tried to claim I was using an "alias'" which was as ridiculous and retarded as their gossip.  I was simply signing on under different names because the old ones could no longer be used.  I guess an "alias' is what these cowards use when they want to hide their identity.  They knew it was me and I made it perfectly clear who I was.  These cretins are bottom scrappers and a pathetic waste of air.  Their claim to fame is sitting behind their keyboard gossiping and twisting things that are none of their business.  I'm sure you probably missed all of that by the fact that you seem to be unaware of all of the drama that took place.  If you get a chance, go check it out and see what you missed.  It was quite funny!
