Building a roll caged, fiberglass doored 69 charger we call "project black widow"  ...  got it for cheap(ish) and it has a fiberglass front end and doors, and an ugly cowl hood.  Also has fiberglass quarter skins and a fiberglass trunk lid.  Scored a 440 and a couple 727 trans.  Still gotta get it all together, bit working on it almost every day.  Posting pics as soon as i figure out how...  but theres plenty of videos of the build on my youtube channel (and other builds).

I will do my best to keep this build thread updated.

Same name as my tag. ;-)

Or search for "project black widow" and it should send you to at least one of my videos...

And if all else fails just look for "$150 disc brake swap 69 charger"

I just subscribed. Good review of harbor freight hoist and body tool set. I agree, the socket sets aren't as good. And sometimes the electrical tools are hit and miss. Looking forward to the build

when I bought it

invincibleextremes

This Is when I made the mistake of cutting out the solid front end and replacing it with mesh for street use... I love the look, the mistake was to do any fiberglass cutting in my livingroom....  never again.

I plan on doing as much racing as possible... autocross mostly, but hill climbs, standing mile, 1/4 mile weekend drags, whatever.  leaving the crazy dirt track roll cage in it.  I paid 4 grand for this, maybe a bit much, but it came with a title and 4 grand worth of fiberglass parts... so i figured why not?  at the moment I have a 440, 727, 4 wheel disc brakes, and engine mounts and headers.

Awesome!.. except for the fiberglass living room, i did fiberglass work for a vette in my basement 7 years ago and i regret it too this day  :rotz:
