Nice little car and the price was right.
All original with 51,200 miles. 82 LeBaron convertible - great shape.
Might see about the survivor tent next year at Carlisle.

Looks good.  Top down on a cool summer night at the local Sonic.  :yesnod:
Nothing personal, just business

I believe that car belonged to a Mr. Jon Voight.

Was there a pencil in the glove box with teeth marks?

Another first gen owner, showed up at the Blues festival, here in Orangeville a week ago with the same scenario. White car  with brown leather , low miler. For his wife, and a horror story regarding the convertible top. The story went something like, two roof covers, three shops and a law suit. Anyways, roof is working, and his wife is very happy.

Had an 88, 4-banger, fun little car, still got some body & trim parts.  :2thumbs:.

What a nice car! I'm sure you will really enjoy it.

I have the 82 parts book for these cars in PDF format. If you would like a copy sent me a PM with your  Email address.  You would be surprised at the NOS parts around for these cars if you have the part numbers

Most of these high line 1982 K cars had the Mitsubishi 2.6 four cylinder engine as compared to the Chrysler built 2.2. The 2.6 is kind of a quirky engine and parts are getting harder to find. The biggest issue with the 2.6 is the overly complex and complicated Mikuni carburetor. I'm pretty sure there is a Webber conversion carb. available.

Yeah, thanks everyone ... it IS a cool little car. And Pete thanks, I will send you my email in a PM. Might even be in my profile.
And I was surprised when he said it has a carb. I thought the fellow just didn't know but yes, 2.6 and it is carbureted. Surprised the heck out of me but I would like to hear more about the conversion you mentioned as this carb runs like crap when cold.
Right now she is having a ball with it. As mentioned other than what has been replaced due to wear, it is all original. Very clean 51,200 miles. It has scratches on touchable places on the inside like near the window switches and door lock switches. I would love to find replacements for some of that stuff but that it for Carlisle.  He also gave us 6 boxes of parts he has collected. Many of which are not special but was appreciated none the less.
Oh yes and everything works including the AC and cruise control. It is a dog as far as power though ... but hey, she didn't buy it to race.

My parents bought a 1988 Reliant K coupe new.  Just about like clockwork they had to take it to the dealer every 6 months for a new computer - under warranty.  When the warranty ran out they sold the car.  I was in high-school with my own car at the time so I only drove it once, which was enough.  Very 'platform-y' feel to it, with plenty of rear squat and torque steer.  I hope it went to the crusher, it was a pos - sorry K-car lovers.

Everyone has stories about the pieces of junk they e owned over the years.
I had a 78 Dodge Magnum Lean Burn which would stop running at 65 on the highway. Then I had an 87 LeBaron GTC coupe at the same time my Dad had a 88 Lebaron. Both had the 2.2 turbo and they rotted away before we stopped driving them . My GTC had 189000 miles on it.

My dad all my childhood was staunchly 'Buy American', had several Mopars and IH Scouts.  The Reliant broke him finally.  They went out and bought a Honda Accord and they loved it and had only ever did routine maintenance on it.  Last year they bought a CRV and offered the Accord to me.  I took it and it's my DD, runs like a top!
