After cleaning up my room today I realized I have WAY to many cards and want to get rid of most of them.  I have probably about a 1,000 that I want to get rid of, mostly basketball, football, baseball and wrestling.  They are fairly old (like the 1990-1994ish) range.  My mom is going to have a yard sale here in a couple of weeks and I was thinking of just bundling up the like sports (like put all baseball cards together, all football cards together, etc..) and put like $5 on a bundle of 100 or so cards.  I know of a place that sells trading cards (just a small business with other memorabilia) , but would they also buy them?  I'm not looking to make full face value off of them, just want rid of them and get a lil cash in return.  Anyone else have any good ides of how to try and get rid of them?  Thanks.

Before I put them for sale as a bunch, I would make sure I didn't have anything worth a ton of money...

90-94 isn't old son for sports cards. ;D

You should at least look at the cards and see what you have, it will take some time but also you may have a few worth some $$.

Do you want $50 or $200..do the research.

95% of them probably aren't worth jack squat. And of the remaining 5% there's probably two or three worth enough for a meal at a sit down restaurant. The ones that might be worth something are the rookie cards of any now-famous athlete. You might take them down to a card shop and have a buyer look through them for you, but then he may not want to sift through 1000 cards any more than you do.

Most of the cards I have I'm pretty sure aren't worth anything, but I do have 1 of Hulk Hogan, a few of Andre the Giant, then I have between 3-5 of each of the following Emmit Smith, Micheal Irvin, Reggie White, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Ronnie Lott, Barry Sanders, 1 of Larry Bird, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sose, I'm pretty sure none are rookie cards, but not positive on that one.
